Can I book more than one character?

Yes! Many of our events include multiple characters. You can select more than one character when submitting your booking form, and we'll confirm availability for your chosen date.

How do I know if my party date is already booked?

The best way to check availability is by submitting a booking form. Our team will review your request and confirm whether your date and character(s) are available., or give you alternative dates that work for us. 

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, holidays, and popular characters. Some dates book weeks—or even months—in advance. Submit a booking form with your intended date, and we will let you know if an alternative date is needed. 

How do I book a party?

To book, simply fill out our booking form on the website. Once submitted, our team will review your request and follow up with availability and next steps. You can view find a booking form on our Packages page, or at the top or bottom of this page.

What happens after I submit the booking form?

After you submit the form, we’ll review your details and confirm availability within 24 - 28 business hours. If your date is available, you’ll receive an email with your invoice and agreement, along with a text confirming we received your request. 

How long does it take to hear back after booking?

Most requests are answered within 24–48 hours. During peak seasons or for specialty characters, responses may take slightly longer.

Can I book last-minute?

Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible, depending on availability. We recommend reaching out as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to help.

What if my preferred character isn't available?

If your first choice isn’t available, we’re happy to suggest similar characters or alternative options that fit your theme and age group.

Can I request a specific performer?

You may request a specific performer, and we’ll do our best to accommodate. While we can’t guarantee performer requests, all of our performers are trained to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience.

How much do parties cost?

Pricing varies based on party length, number of characters, and event type. Current package pricing can be found on our website on the packages page.

Is a deposit required to secure my booking?

Yes. A $50 deposit is required to officially reserve your date and character(s). Dates are not held until the deposit and agreement are completed. Once a booking request form has been processed, you will receive an email to secure your deposit and agreement. 

When is the remaining balance due?

The remaining balance is due 48 prior to your event, but can be paid at any time once deposit is secured.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept online payments through our invoicing system Square. Accepted methods will be listed on your invoice.

Are tips included?

Gratuities are not included but are always appreciated. We do request that if you are tipping your performer you do so in cash in an envelope, OR through our company Venmo @magicalmomentsutah. If going through Venmo, make sure to note the character, date and time so that we can make sure it gets to the right performer. Both methods ensure that kiddos at the event do not see or hear a money exchange and helps to keep the magic. 100% of tips go to performers. 

Are there travel fees?

A rough travel fees is included in your initial invoice email. Mileage is $0.50 per mile over 10 miles away from your performer's house. Once a performer is assigned to your event, your mileage may be adjusted, but will never be greater than the amount shown in your initial invoice. 

Can I upgrade my package after booking?

Upgrades are often possible based on availability. We recommend contacting us as early as possible if you’d like to make changes.

What's included in your packages?

Each package includes a fully in-character visit with a range of interactive activities themed after the character/s story. Activities include games, crafts, makeovers, face paint, singing (if applicable) story time (if applicable) coronation (if applicable)

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes! Our performers arrive with all necessary supplies for the activities included in your chosen package.

Can boys enjoy princess parties too?

Absolutely! Our parties are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and fun for all children, regardless of gender. If worried about boys feeling included in activities like makeovers, let us know about your concern, and we will make sure to have a boy alternative option at the party to accommodate.  

What happens during the party?

The character will lead a structured but flexible experience that may include interactive games, dancing, storytelling, photo opportunities, and a special focus moment for the guest of honor. 

Do parent need to participate?

Parents are welcome to participate but are not required. We ask that an adult remains nearby to help support / help control the experience if needed.

How much space do you need?

A small open area is usually sufficient. Living rooms, basements, or backyard spaces typically work great. If you booked an activity like crafts or face paint, make sure to have an empty table available that the character can use. 

What ages are your parties best for?

Our parties are best suited for children ages 2–10, though we tailor our approach based on the age group and event type. There are many character options that are better suited for different age ranges as well. If your birthday child is a fan of the character, then they're always the right age!

Can activities be customized?

Yes! We do our best to personalize activities based on your child’s age, interests, and party theme. If you have a specific party itinerary that you want the characters to attend, just let us know in the booking form! We are here to help your vision come to life!

Are your performers trained?

Yes. All of our performers go through character-specific training, including performance quality, guest interaction, and safety standards.

Do you offer bilingual performers?

Yes! We do have select performers who are fluent in additional languages. Availability may vary by character and date, so we recommend mentioning your language preference when submitting your booking form. We’ll always do our best to match you with the perfect performer for your event. Current language options: English, Cantonese, Portuguese, & Spanish

Do you use professional costumes?

Yes. Our costumes are professionally designed or custom-made and are carefully maintained to ensure a polished, high-quality appearance. All of our wigs, and many of our costumes are made in house by our staff. So they are also maintained at a high standard. 

Are the characters on your website the ones that will show up in person?

Yes. The characters featured on our website represent the characters we perform at events. While individual performers may vary, the character’s look, personality, and experience are consistent.

Policies (Cancellations, Reschedules)

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll review your options based on our policy and availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is outlined in your agreement and varies depending on notice given. Please review your contract or reach out with questions.

What happens if my performer gets sick?

In the last 9 years of business, we can happily say that we have never missed or cancelled an event! In the rare event a performer becomes ill, we will do our best to provide a replacement performer, character or discuss alternative options with you.

What if there is bad weather?

For outdoor events, weather concerns may require an indoor back up plan. We’ll communicate with you to determine the best solution, including moving indoors, or changing the date if possible.

Are deposits refundable?

Deposits are generally non-refundable. If needing to cancel your event, we can save your deposit for a future event.

Logistics (Travel, Setup, Space Requirements)

What should we have ready when the performer arrives?

Please have a clear space for activities and an adult available to greet the performer and assist if needed. If booking activities like craft, face paint etc. make sure that there is an empty table available for set up.

Where are you located and how far do you travel?

We are based in Utah and Salt Lake counties, but have traveled out of county many times, and have even been requested out of state! Submit a booking form with your event details and we will let you know travel fees. 

Do you offer indoor and outdoor parties?

Yes! We offer both indoor and outdoor parties, weather and location permitting. Keep in mind that our performers are in many layers, which can make them easily overheat in the summer. They also are not able to wear big coats in the Utah winter! Keep an eye on temperature and have a backup indoor location planned.

Do you only do birthday parties?

While our main bookings are kids birthday parties, we also perform at corporate events, school visits community events, singing telegrams, hospital visits, family reunions and more! Let us know when booking what type of event you are looking to book!

Do you perform at parks, venues, or public locations?

Yes, we can perform at parks and venues as long as any required permits or permissions are secured. If booking a play place or birthday venue, make sure that venue allows character performers, and that there is space / interest for the character.
